I met this guy and felt, well like I'd have felt meeting John Lennon 40 years ago. One of my garden 'Heros" out there in the trenches learning what plants do well for us dirt under the fingernail gardeners in this humid south. I consider his "Herbaceous Perennial Plants" to be the "bible" on the subject and cannot convey how much his book on growing commercial cut flower gardens helped me back when I grew and sold my own. This site is soooo much fun! My all time favorite catalog and web site bar none. This catalog gones online in January & again in Fall. It gets me thru the winter with dreams & laughter! Tony Avent is so funny-read the catalog like a book.I've ordered from them for years. They have really unique perennials.
