The following are online nurseries I've used and had good experience with. Any other nursery that I listed as where I got a rose, overall I was unhappy with their product so I haven't given links for them. Also If you are in North East Louisiana Feb-May I highly recommend going by West Feed on Thomas Road in West Monroe. Kathy really knows her roses. My favorite place for old roses on own roots.Have a great informative site and send the best own root roses I've seen. I bought my 1st antique rose from them 17 yrs ago and still look to see if they have what I want 1st, That is if Kathy doesn't. They are in Brenham Texas;1-800-441-0002 I 1st got roses from them last fall and was so pleased I ordered again for this spring. They send own root roses (Though you can choose budded if you wish)that are next largest after Antique Rose Emporium. They have best own root selection of "English" roses, also nice large miniature ones.They are in Tyler,Texas. 1-800-256-7673. Good prices also. This year was 1st time I ordered from them and was pleased with them. They do field grown own root roses and will not send till they feel they are large & healthy enough. Once heat set in they emailed if I want to waite for fall for those not ready yet. Also they are the best packed rose or any other plant for that matter that I've ever seen. You will need a knife to get them out!They are located in Landrum ,SC. 1-864-468-4900 My 1st year with them. This is a Mom & Pop place out of Pass Christian, Miss. They had a few things I hadn't found elsewhere.Even though one rose wasn't labeled right they sent a replacement right away.1-228-452-2697 I have been very pleased with my orders from them for many years. Last year I couldn't order from them because they had moved to California and no plants could be mailed to many southen states due to some disease a that time.As of Spring '07 plants are being sent to the south. I just planted about 11 new minis that look great 3 wks later. Nice sized very healthy plants. 1-800-426-6485 If you live in the south this is a good place to order budded roses. They are budded onto Manetti rootstock. This is a subtropical rose that does well in warmer climates.I ordered from them before I fell in love with own root roses and the roses were doing well 10yrs later when we moved.They send bare root so be sure to order so you recieve no later than Febuary. I've included this northern site because I found a couple of roses there I couldn't find elsewhere, even though they are budded. They have done well this past couple yrs since I bought them. Also has some nice ,well priced perennials.
