Another View of the Mansion of Mazra'hi
After 9 years of incarceration in the city prison of 'Akka`the notables and the Governer of 'Akka` let it be clear to Baha'u'llah that the order to keep Him under house arrest within the prison city ( His 1st 5 years were within the citadel ) , although never formally revoked, would no longer be enforced. Although Baha'u'llah was at first reluctant to avail Himself of this permission, He was persuaded by loved ones to leave the prison city for the Mansion of Mazra'ih 'Abdu'l-baha had arranged for Him to reside in. Baha'u'llah lived there for two years beginning in June,1877.
